Unlock Premium Tools + Bonus Episode Join the FootClan With the scarcity mentality, everyone is in the business of hoarding and playing it safe. Effective rosters in Superflex dynasty leagues not only recognize the value of QBs but also the opportunity cost of not having one. You’ll hear everyone and their mama discuss how SuperFlex leagues create positional scarcity for the QB position. ![]() 75% of the NFL QBs will be starting in a 12-person SuperFlex league. The real questions people want to know: “ when should I take QBs? How should I value them rightly?”Īs stated by many in the fantasy industry, the main change in a SuperFlex versus as 1QB league is the supply & demand. It goes against the principles of tier-based drafting but at the heart of thousands of people asking “ where are you SuperFlex rankings?” is a desire for clarity. Tier-based drafting is our company-wide approach and why we’ve held off on giving SuperFlex rankings for a while. We personally do not recommend that people draft in SuperFlex leagues with a top-200 list. I repeat: these are my own personal tiers of where I view QBs in SuperFlex leagues, not the Footballers*.Įditor’s Note: On a recent Fantasy Footballers Dynasty Podcast, we talked through SuperFlex strategy and Jason’s rankings in the Ultimate Draft Kit+. This is more an exercise of “where would I group these players” if I was in a startup draft. Statistical projections (“statting out” as we call it) are not part normally part of dynasty rankings since we are looking at multiple years at a time with a giant amount of unknowns in how the NFL can change. What I’ve decided to do is work out my own SuperFlex tiers using the Ballers premium dynasty ranks and where I personally group them. I thought it could be a bridge to discussing Superflex rankings while leaving room to be open-handed in the way we approach them. I gave out some thoughts recently in an article entitled Dynasty SuperFlex rankings & the Strategy Behind Them. That inner turmoil I feel comes to a head when we talk about SuperFlex rankings. Someone might be ranked in projections ahead of another but does that make someone an auto-pick just because they are projected for 1.2 fantasy points more? Yes, it is impossible to encompass every piece of information in an article much less a tweet! But on top of that, linear rankings don’t tell a full story. On the other hand, stats and rankings drive me bonkers because anytime you share them publicly, you will always have the person who brings up “why didn’t you talk about this?!” or “you conveniently left out this” in your argument. ![]() In one sense, I pinch myself that I get to look at statistics all day and turn them into (hopefully) meaningful conversations. I count it as a blessing and curse sometimes to talk about fantasy football as my job.

How serious is water leaking from your exhaust? If water is dripping under your car and your ac is not on, then as explained above, the water leak can also be attributed to exhaust condensation if the water leaking from your car is solely around the exhaust. Water dripping from under car, ac not on: Does my car have a serious problem? This is normal and is nothing to worry about. If you see water dripping from under your car when ac is on around the rear of the engine compartment, it's likely going to be just AC condensation. You may wonder is it normal for water to drip from under your car? In the vast majority of cases, your car leaking water is usually condensation from the air conditioning system, or from the exhaust. Why is my car leaking water? Condensation from the air conditioning system There are a number of signs you might experience if your car is low on oil. However, while it's not advisable to drive with an oil leak, going a short distance to your home or a garage should be OK. Oil can also damage rubber hoses and seals, which can cause a breakdown. Once oil reaches a high temperature it can become flammable which, when parts of your engine become very hot, can result in a fire. No, driving your car with an oil leak poses some risk to you and other road users. Is it safe to drive my car with an oil leak? However, visit a trusted mechanic for a long-term fix. Specialised oil leak-stopping fluids are available which might provide a short/medium term solution. Gaskets and seals will become deformed and damaged given long enough, leading to an oil leak. It might be a faulty gasket, blown O-ring, damaged timing cover seal or an oil pan leak. Naturally, you won’t spot an oil leak while you’re on the road. When parked for a sustained period, oil patches can develop - which is when you’ll notice an oil leak from your car. If oil is leaking from your vehicle, it will likely do so whether you’re driving or not. That said, with a front-motor car, it’s still possible to get a leak appearing under the rear - this could be due to issues with the rear differential pinion flange or rear axle oil seals, for instance. Conversely, with rear-engine cars, leaks will probably appear under the back area. If your engine is located in the front of your vehicle, chances are any oil leak will appear on the ground underneath. Get some tissue paper and absorb the liquid: if it’s black or brown, it's likely oil. But your first task is to determine if the leakage is indeed oil. The most obvious sign will be a patch of liquid on the ground under your engine block or elsewhere. How can I tell if my car is leaking oil? - it’s a common question. You should be able to drive your car a short distance (to the garage, for instance) if you first top up the coolant level. They will be able to pinpoint the issue and replace the damaged component.Īny coolant leak suggests your car has a serious problem - since your engine depends on coolant for its cooling system to work.Ĭan I drive my car if it has a coolant leak? Try dabbing a piece of paper or an old cloth in the puddle so you can have a closer look. If your car is parked in a dark location or the ground is dark, it may be difficult to determine if the puddle of fluid under your car is coolant or water. Normal water will of course be clear and odourless. If the fluid turns out to be coolant leaking from the bottom of your car rather than water, you could have a serious problem.Ĭoolant is usually green, blue or yellow and has a sweetish smell. ![]() In most cases, however, the leaking from your car does not indicate a serious issue. Word Capitalizing in Headings and Titles.Eliminating Errors With AcronymsĪlthough the AP style rule for acronyms is fairly straightforward next to other AP style conventions, using AP acronyms correctly in professional writing can still take some practice. If it hadn’t been an April Fools joke, the ACRONYM Act could have made writing about legislation much duller for easily amused people like me. – In 2015, the onslaught of legislative acronyms inspired the Accountability and Congressional Responsibility On Naming Your Motions Act. It never hurts to check the AP Stylebook or a direct source, such as the organization or legislation in question, to determine which convention to use. However, some longer acronyms, such as UNESCO, appear fully capitalized by convention. If an acronym is more than five letters long, the general AP style acronym rules state that you should capitalize only the first letter. Typically, acronyms consist of all capital letters and do not include periods. However, incorporating an obscure acronym to make a headline more concise is frowned upon. With AP style acronyms, using well-known acronyms in this context is acceptable. It’s also best to use restraint when deciding whether to place acronyms in headlines. Some acronyms are well-known enough to be used on first reference, but it’s important to consider your audience to determine whether this is the case. (This isn’t a real acronym, so this citation isn’t advisable.) Unfortunately, the SWEET Act doesn’t derive its acronym from the first letters of each word. – The Sugar Sweetened Beverages Act of 2015 also has a supposedly clever name. If the connection between the original phrase and the acronym isn’t clear, don’t use the acronym. Sometimes, a so-called acronym will omit letters from the words that comprise it or include extra, unrelated letters. Due to the careful use of hyphens and capitalization, I get to cite this as the EGO Act. – While we’re talking about legislative acronyms, the Eliminating Government-funded Oil-painting Act also deserves a mention. – Someone clearly put a little thought into naming the Tackling Excessive Standardized Testing (TEST) Act. Simply use the acronym on the second reference. ![]() ![]() – Someone clearly put a little thought into naming the Tackling Excessive Standardized Testing Act.Īlthough you may have been taught to follow this initial reference with the acronym offset in dashes or parentheses, this isn’t the convention in AP style. If you choose to utilize one, you should usually begin by writing out the full phrase that makes up the acronym. If you’re writing in AP style, you are never explicitly required to use acronyms. Acronyms are pronounced as words, rather than as series of letters.Ībbreviations: AAA, FBI, NYC Using Acronyms in AP Style An acronym is formed from the first letters of the words that make up a phrase. So what are acronyms? As a quick reminder, acronyms are a specific type of abbreviation. Since Associated Press style is one of the more widely used writing standards, learning the AP style rule for acronyms and abbreviations is an essential starting point for most freelance writers. Given the ubiquity of acronyms, knowing the relevant grammar and style rules is crucial. Between “alphabet soup” government agencies and absurdly named pieces of legislation, I often find my writing overrun with these abbreviations. If you write factual content or realistic fiction, it’s almost impossible to avoid working with acronyms. To be a stable CVC investor, a few homework points: It is a very valuable and healthy perspective in Board discussions, hearing pain-points of clients and product opportunities in addition to the pure investor perspective. I observe the CVC taking the mid/longterm “client” role in Board discussions (voting or non-voting). Moreover, the CVC can provide additional advice and perspective to the startup strategy. This provides a startup a more diversified investor base and stability. CVCs are often measured not purely on financial return of the investment, but also on strategic KPIs (such as the number of product deployments, impact/return from using the product and the number of cross-selling opportunities). to build out the startup's product roadmap or extend the runway in challenging times.
